Please note that this site is not intended to work in Navigator 4.x. Aerospace@UC is dedicated to complying with the current and future W3C standards of web browsing and compatibility. Navigator 4.x is, at five years and counting, just too old to keep up with most things that will be done on the Internet of the future. There's nothing wrong with Navigator 4.x, but you probably don't want to use it in this area. Consider it a friendly warning. Check with the W3C for information on CSS-compliant browsers; Netscape 7 and above, Opera 6 and above, and Camino and Safari (both for Apple OS X only) are CSS-compliant enough for this website.

current texts

In order to mitigate textbook problems, we have teamed up with Amazon, Powell's, and Barnes & Noble to give you more choices and flexibility in textbook ordering (used textbooks are also frequently available online).

This is a fairly comprehensive list of the courses offered in our department, along with the required texts. Each listing has at least one hyperlink to Amazon, Powell's (an independent bookstore in California), and/or Barnes & Noble so you can shop around. You can also visit UC Bookstore's online textbook ordering system. If they have used books in stock, they will show up in their catalog and they do not charge for delivery. If you are worried about selling your books at the end of the quarter, UC Bookstores will buy textbooks regardless of where you bought them. Barnes & Noble also has a textbook buyback program.

If you like this idea and/or have any suggestions to improve it, please stop into the department and let us know. If you want to buy other textbooks from any of these suppliers, there are search boxes at the bottom of this page. Thank you! We in the Department hope that this makes finding textbooks a little bit easier.

FYI - Amazon ships from a warehouse in Kentucky; Powell's ships from California; Barnes & Noble ships from New York.
