The GRLab-Computation for Sustainability is a research Lab under the School of Aerospace Systems at UC. It was established in 2011 with the objective of conducting fundamental and applied studies in advanced computational technology for modeling and simulation in engineering and science. The Lab aims to :

> Undertake both fundamental and applied research projects to contribute to the development of the knowledge-based economy in the United States, considering various issues on sustainability.

> Promote activities in the areas of high-performance computation and computer aided-engineering in order to help companies in the United States to enhance their capability in the design of high-value-added products, with long term perspectives on optimal uses of resources and energy, and minimized impact to the environment.

> Train of students at various levels and postdocs for quality jobs in the area of advanced modeling of simulation for the knowledge-based economy in the United States

> Establish itself as a reputable research center of excellence for advanced theory and formulation for computational methods in engineering and science both nationally and internationally.
