Hector G. Carreón Garcidueñas joined the NDE group at the University of Cincinnati after receiving his masters degree in Materials Science from the Institute of Metallurgical Research in Morelia, México.

His PhD research focused on thermoelectric nondestructive evaluation in metals. He received his PhD degree in 2002. Currently he is a faculty member at the Instituto de Investigaciones Metalúrigicas, Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, México.
